What is the different kind of experience I can get here?

We Teach Skills Not Cuisines. We teach culture-Informed, not culture-limited type of cooking. We focus on universal techniques and kitchen confidence so you can cook anything from any culture with ease.
When do classes open?
Every 2 months! Check our booking calendar for lifestyle and seasonal classes and reserve a time that works for you.
Can I buy a class without a set date?
Yes! Purchase now and book your preferred time later. However, class times are limited so to avoid disappointment, buy and set your dates quickly.
Do classes need to be taken in order?
We highly recommend that new students begin with Series 1.1: Knife Skills & Kitchen Habits foundation class to start. After completing this class, you are welcome to explore the rest of the series in any order that suits your interests.
How long is each class?
Ranges from 60 mins – 90 mins, for Level 1 skills, more depending on the program.
Who can take classes?
We teach teens, families, and adults, with programs designed for each group.
Can families learn together?
Absolutely! Family classes are hands-on and fun for 12 years and up. Families with kids younger, please contact fromscratchseattle@gmail.com for private sessions.
Do I need cooking experience?
Nope! Complete beginners are welcome. Classes build skills from the ground up.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
Reschedule up to 48 hours in advance. Refunds depend on booking policies.
Is everything provided?
Yes! If a class requires ingredients and equipment and cookware, they will be provided! Private classes may require you to bring a pantry item or your own knives for a more customized experience.
Can I gift a class?
Yes! Gift certificates are available for any program. If you don't find what you like, please contact Pam on Instagram or email fromscratchseattle@gmail.com
Who teaches the classes?
Chef Pam YeoCo leads all sessions with hands-on guidance and real-world tips.
Can I repeat a class?
Of course! Retake any class to practice skills and build confidence.
